Hamlib v2 and other follow-ons

The Hamlib developers group has been discussing what directions to take for a possible "Version 2" of Hamlib. Please refer to the hamlib-developers mailing list and its archive at http://sourceforge.net/projects/hamlib.

A separate project, descended from Hamlib (at least philosophically), is called Rigserve. Rigserve implements a Telnet-style network service for rig control using object-oriented Python programming.
